The following individuals obtained the largest new awards during the quarter. (note: award amounts are shown as annual figures):
ChenDr. Jian-Xiong Chen, associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology, received a $385,417 award from the National Institutes of Health for the project, “Coronary microvascular rarefaction in diabetic/obese heart.”
Dr. Jennifer Sasser, assistant professor of pharmacology and toxicology, received a $381,250 award from the NIH for the project, “Mechanisms of cardiorenal disease follow preeclampsia.”
